Okay! So, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on my blog. I have no excuse except I didn’t make blogging a priority during the past few months. Of course, like everyone, I had a lot of things going on, but I allowed things to get in my way. It’s all about self-discipline. I don’t make resolutions for the new year. Most people don’t keep them, so I’m not going to kid myself or anyone else. However, I have been clearing up more issues in my quest to live and work free and some of those include lifestyle changes. Since my first “emancipation day” on November 1, 2008, I’ve had my second “emancipation day” on November 1, 2009. So, as I make more lifestyle changes and move forward with great anticipation into 2010, I work towards my third “emancipation day.” That will be when I make the final decision on what kind of RV I’ll finally settle on and acquire and set out in on my nomadic odyssey for the next several years. I have no length of time in mind for my adventure. It will end, when it ends.
There are a lot of things going on in my world. I can honestly say that I’ve never been happier or freer and more enthusiastic about my personal future. I wish I could say that I have that same outlook for the majority of people in our country or the world at large, but I don’t feel that optimistic about the overall future, in general. Since, I’ve chosen to seek the maximum amount of freedom and happiness for myself. I’ve chosen to make the necessary changes and sacrifices (though, I don’t feel that I’ve really sacrificed much, except in a material way) to achieve the freedom and happiness I can realize as I live and work free. I honestly don’t feel like I’ve really sacrificed anything – I’ve just unburdened myself from a lot of material, emotional and spiritual baggage.
On Monday, January 4, 2010 I’ll be posting the first article of a series on “R.U. Free?” This will follow my journey and my quest to achieve the most freedom for myself that I can for the rest of my life. I’ll share my thoughts, feelings, discoveries, adventures, obstacles, setbacks, victories and revelations. I’ll share them with you. I hope some of what I learn may help you in your quest for freedom, happiness and the ability to live and work free – as you define those qualities of life for yourself. I’d really like to have you give me some comments and feedback. I’d also like to have some guest contributions. Share your experiences with others who read this blog.
I’ll be including information from friends of mine who are also writing interesting and exciting ideas and discoveries. With their permission, I’ll share their information with you. My friends include T. Scott Gross, from TX, Michael Aun from FL and Tim Connor from NC. I’ve recently been reading some of Tim’s 75, or so, books that he’s had published. I’ve known Tim for about 30 years and I’m just realizing that he and I have been on similar quests over the years. We’ve been traveling, what appear, to me, to be, parallel paths. I’d love to share some of his books with you. There are others I’ll introduce you to, as well. I will let you know about resources I discover that you may find useful.
I will also continue on developing some books of my own as well as some audio and, eventually, some video programs. I’m formatting my seminars, workshops and retreats and plan to launch those in 2010, too. The books will initially be in e-book and audio book form and will be available from me and through Amazon and the Kindle program. As a retiring, recovering, reformed book publisher, I’m embracing the newer technologies first. If there is enough call for it, and I hope there is, I’ll print hard copy books and audio CDs and make them available. I have to develop some new methods of generating some income streams that are consistent and compatible with my living and working free philosophy. “To thine own self be true.” So, I’ll be putting up some new Web sites and experiment with various income producing ideas. I’m definitely going to be looking for some people to partner with who have skills and abilities that compliment mine. That means income opportunities for others as well.
So, look forward to me continuing my “12 Great Truths” series of articles and my “R. U. Free?” series. I’ll also be starting a series of postings on “R. U. Happy?” There will be guest postings and new resources. I’m sure (make that positive) that I’ll go off on a tangent every once in a while, too. Currently, I plan to post at least twice a week – Mondays and Thursdays as I see it right now. I’ll also start working on some podcasts that I’m been promising myself to get started for a couple years. So, all of these will be worked into my living and working free lifestyle. This is going to be a heck of a year of adventure, excitement and pushing my own personal curve.
Share my posts and blog with your friends. I’d love to have comments and blog contributions from you, too. And, if you’d like an occasional guest blog post from me, I’d love to do it, feel free to ask me.
I want to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very Happy, Healthy and Abundant New Year in 2010. I hope you find what you’re seeking for your own life and freedom.
Enthusiastically,
Ed
