Big Sky Country Somewhere In Wyoming, May 2010

I'm very pleased with this photo. I took it out of my left driver's window at about 75 to 80 mph while heading west toward my Oregon destination. It was only a few minutes before I took this shot that the sky was a beautiful blue. Then these dark clouds rolled in.

It was both ominous and beautiful at the same time. I also enjoy the challenge of capturing a photo under unusual or challenging circumstances. Of course, I didn't compose this shot. I aimed the camera out the window and took numerous photos hoping to catch a usable representation of what I was seeing as I was driving through this beautiful, yet rugged country. I don't recall the altitude when I took this photo, but I believe it was somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 feet above sea level.

I'm anxious to explore this part of our country again when I have time to spend a lot more time there.
