This is an awesome sight and very sobering. You’re looking at Ground Zero in New York City at night about two years after the World Trade Center Towers fell. I was born and raised in northern NJ in view of the Empire State Building. I left New Jersey in 1967 when I was 22. The World Trade Center towers didn’t exist when I left. They opened a few years later. I was in the north tower once on about the 80th floor to deliver something around 1980 or shortly thereafter. I took a picture of the towers with the Wanamaker Building (once the tallest building in the world) framed between them from the Hudson River on a Circle Line cruise with friends about three months before the towers fell. That photo is on a print that I shot on 35mm Kodachrome film (which, also, no longer exists).and I’ll include it here when I find the print and scan it.
Enthusiastically,
Ed
