Photo-of-the-Week #135 Fishing Boat At Sunset, Durham New Hampshire, November 2007

This is simply a relaxing, serene scene. As you know, I enjoy taking photos of sunrises and sunsets. This photo of a fishing boat at anchor near Durham, New Hampshire represents another aspect of sunsets. While this is a large body of water, it is very still and mirror-like. I liked the muted blues, purples and pinks in the sky and in the water reflection. It was a somewhat overcast sunset with broken clouds. Since the photo was taken in mid November, this was fairly early in the evening, probably around 4:00 PM. It also gave me the feeling of the impending winter that was just around the corner.
